Upgrade your Vista now or you won’t get security updates
If you use Windows Vista, Microsoft has an important message for you: It’s time to make sure you are running a Service Pack, or you’ll no longer be supported. If you have upgraded to the latest version of Vista already, you will be OK, but if you have turned off Automatic Updates or opted to avoid ServicePack1 for some reason, you might still be running the original version of Windows Vista, which Microsoft no longer supports. That means your copy of Vista will no longer receive security and other software updates. This is alarming, but by no means surprising; the clock always runs out at one time on every software and Vista’s time has come.
